Moroccan hand-made scarf. This scarf is made of sabra silk (agave/vegetable silk), a material very unique to Morocco. Sabra silk is colored by natural dye, but one of its basic qualities is its metallic look. The shawl is made on a tradition loom, exactly the same way it was done in the past.
The pattern on this shawl is exactly what you should expect from a classic Moroccan shawl made in Fez or Marrakesh. Vast majority of the scarf is pure sabra silk, while the "pattern" is made of wool and cotton. The wool used is purchased locally from sheep farmers.
